Privacy notice
Waitlist and private beta · last updated 2 November 2026
Who we are
The controller of your data is folo, a product of Tessera. Write to founders@askfolo.com for anything in this notice.
What we collect and why
We collect what you type into the waitlist form, in up to two steps, and use it to contact you about the folo launch and to plan the private beta.
- Step 1, required to join: your email address. The two boxes beside it are optional: one for product updates, one to sign a letter of intent for the paid beta. The letter is non-binding and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Step 2, optional: your role, team size and where your calendar and email live.
- With each step we also keep the time, the page you came from, your browser's user agent and a salted hash of your IP address. We use these only to stop spam and abuse.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. If you tick the optional box, we may also send you product updates beyond the launch notice. That is a separate consent and you can leave it unticked.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts this site, stores the sign-up records in its database and runs the Turnstile spam check, which sees your IP address and browser details.
- Google stores a copy of each sign-up in a spreadsheet that only the founders can open.
- PostHog, hosted in the EU, counts page visits and form progress so we can see which pages work. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it never receives your email address.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until the folo launch plus 12 months, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to founders@askfolo.com. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before. We remove your records on request.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
